Kyiv Theological Seminary held Chinese commencement ceremony on April 27 in the seminary’s conference-hall. Seven graduates received their diplomas. This was the second commencement since the program held its first classes at KTS in 2015.
The diploma program serves Chinese churches in Ukraine providing pastoral and theological training for pastors and church leaders so they would be better equipped to train their congregations. All of the students in the program are from China, currently living in Ukraine. The program was started in Ukraine through the vision cast out by Dr. Barbara Leung Lai and Rev. Warren Lai.

“The program seeks to enroll those students who are really committed and devoted in Christ.” – says Rev. W. Lai. “Please pray for us as we don't know how many will be interested to come. Chinese churches in Ukraine are not stable as students graduate and they will go back to China. Merchants are come and go. Please pray that the Chinese churches can be more stable and strong in witnessing Christ.”

Dr. Barbara Leung Lai presently serves as Research Professor of Old Testament, and Rev. Lai is Adjunct Professor of Pastoral & Chinese Ministry at Tyndale Seminary (Toronto, Canada). Tyndale’s Chinese ministries program is one of oldest accredited ethnic programs in North America.
