Mission statementThe mission of the Talbot School of Theology - Kyiv Extension is to provide a Western-style, non-terminal, graduate theological degree to qualified students. Vision statementThe vision of the program is to serve the evangelical church of Jesus Christ in the countries of the former Soviet Union by providing discerning, evangelical biblical and theological scholarship and instruction to enable students to teach, to go on for further study, or to minister more competently in a variety of Christian contexts. Purpose and goals The purpose and goals of the Kyiv Extension are to:
Assist the evangelical community in the region to raise theological standards by providing the next level of theological education, building on the strong foundation of Kyiv Theological Seminary and other programs in the region. Provide a desirable American degree in the Eastern European context to retain church leaders and reduce their loss through emigration to the west for theological education. Serve the needs of Eastern European and Russian evangelical churches for well-trained leadership in church planting and existing churches. Offer accredited theological education for churches, mission agencies, and other evangelical organizations in Europe and Eastern Europe.
